Being an Aunt and Uncle
Becoming an Aunt and Uncle has been one of the most wonderful blessings. We spend a lot of time with our nieces and nephews, and they all love Tommy. We have the honor of being godparents and role models for these children. We love them so much and know our child would fit right in with them.
I will always remember the day our oldest nephew was born.
Jeff and I had been dating for only about 5 months. Even though he didn't know the family very long, he sat with us that day, waiting for my nephew's arrival. He was one of the first people to hold him. It made my heart so happy and gave me butterflies to see Jeff with the baby and fitting in with my family. I know he is wonderful with Tommy and would be with our child someday.
Tommy is so great with kids.
Our nieces and nephews look up to him. They love when he is around and always ask for him when he is not with us. He plays with them and is there when they need help. Even though Tommy and his cousins have a big age difference, he is a trooper and does and plays what they want. Tommy wants to be a big brother and looks forward to spending time with a sibling.
Watching our nieces and nephews grow has been such a great adventure.
We love seeing them learn new things. We actively participate in all of their birthdays and school events. We have them over to spend the night at our house and do crafts. We are honored to be called Aunt Em and Uncle Jeff. We cannot wait for the day we introduce our children to them. The child will be loved by so many people, and we will strive to be the best parents we can be.
